A FOURTH teenager has been arrested in connection with an incident where a woman’s hair was set alight on a train.

The 15-year-old was arrested for attempted GBH on Saturday (Aug 22).

Two other 15-year-olds arrested last week answered bail yesterday (Aug 25), with one rebailed to September 18 and the other rebailed to September 29.

A 16-year-old also arrested last week, has already been bailed to September 18, along with the teenager arrested on Saturday.

All four youths are from Swanley.

Police released CCTV images of the incident and the arrests soon followed.

The victim was a Swedish teacher who had been visiting England with a group of her students, who were returning to London after a day out.

She was walking through the carriage at around 6.30pm when a youth held out a lighter as she passed him.

Her hair caught fire but didn’t realise what had happened until she saw her students screaming and pointing to her hair.

She was then able to pat the fire out.

Although the attack left part of her hair singed, she didn’t suffer any burns and didn’t need to go to hospital.
