A RESIDENTS’ group has organised a two-week schedule of celebrations to help mark its 75th anniversary.
The first ever Chislehurst Festival has been organised by the Chislehurst Society and celebrations will include bell ringing and singing workshops, salsa and belly dancing classes, as well as music concerts and art exhibitions.
There will also be a chance to visit the town’s recreation ground for a tennis open day or see the results of a photography competition.
The society was formed 75 years ago as the Chislehurst Ratepayers Association and now has more than four thousand members.
The festival is scheduled to run from September 19 to October 3.
Visit the society's website for more details of the festival, including ways to enter the photography competition.
