A COMPUTER screen was stolen from the home of a murdered pensioner, police have revealed.
Edward Highwood was found dead in Hollymount Close, Greenwich, on Saturday (July 18).
The 79-year-old had suffered head injuries and a post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of his death was head trauma.
Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who has been offered items from Mr Highwood’s home, including a 17in Hewlett-Packard computer screen.
Detective Inspector Andy Booth from the Met's homicide and serious crime command said: "We know the screen, with silver-grey edging, approximately four years old and possibly with a wire hanging from it, is definitely missing.
“We are still trying to establish whether anything else was stolen from the terraced house.
"Have you been offered this on the street or any other item which might have come from the same source?"
Mr Highwood was last seen alive on July 17 and police want to hear from anyone who saw him at any time that day or the following day.
