BEXLEY is to play host to a national tennis tournament.
Danson Park’s grass courts will be the venue for this year’s AEGON Summer County Cup.
Group seven of the doubles-only event will be played from Monday to Friday next week.
Eight counties from across England and Scotland — Bedfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, South of Scotland, Cumbria and Isle of Man — will be represented at the event.
Councillor Peter Catterall, Bexley cabinet member for leisure, arts and tourism, said: “I am delighted to be welcoming this nationally recognised tournament to Bexley.
“We can expect to see some exciting tennis on display and all free of charge.”
Play at the park in Danson Road, Welling, will begin at no later than 10.30am each day.
