YOUNGSTERS can take advantage of a host of fun activities in the coming summer weeks.

Lewisham Council's Summer's Alive programme will run throughout the school summer holidays with activities including cheerleading, street dancing, fashion designing, football training and swimming.

Courses are free and available for all young people aged eight to 18, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs.

Mayor of Lewisham Sir Steve Bullock said: “Once again young people can look forward to a summer of fun at locations all over the borough.

“Whether you’re a parent wondering how to entertain your under 5's, or a teenager wanting to have fun with your friends or meet new people, you’ll find something in Summer’s Alive."
