TO mark the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne, a primary school took a trip back to Tudor times.
Raglan Primary School welcomed the Globe Theatre and birds of prey specialists to help youngsters sample what life would have been life during the king’s reign.
Reception pupils at the school in Raglan Road, Bromley, enjoyed the history of jesters and knights, while Year 4 youngsters learnt about apothecaries.
The school’s 10- to 11-year-olds swatted up on Shakespeare before a tudor parade through Chatterton Village in Bromley on June 17 marked the end of the week’s activities.
Reception class teacher Jo Waterman said: “The parade was a fantastic end to a wealth of learning.
“It was wonderful to have the entire school community pulling together to produce such a memorable experience for our children."
