THE capital’s top cop faced a grilling during a public meeting at a football club last night (July 2).
Met commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson visited Bromley Football Club in Hayes Lane as part of the Bromley Community Engagement Forum’s annual general meeting.
The audience asked him questions about the future of the borough’s police stations, safer neighbourhood teams and town centre policing.
Speaking to News Shopper after the meeting, the Met boss said: “I think we are doing a good job but we can always do it better - that’s what tonight was all about.
“It’s my job to answer questions and to be held accountable.”
The Bromley Community Engagement Forum holds to account authorities connected with safety and policing issues in the borough.
