BEXLEY’S annual civic service with a parade in Bexleyheath’s town centre takes place on Sunday (June 21).
The service, at Christ Church in the Broadway, and the parade are open to everyone, and will celebrate the appointment of Bexley’s new mayor, Councillor Bernard Clewes.
The parade, which will include cadet, youth and other organisations in the borough, will march from the car park behind the civic offices, along the Broadway to the church for the service, which begins at 10.30am.
After the service, which will last about an hour, the parade will return to the civic offices where the mayor will take the salute.
Decorations may be worn.
