BUSINESSES in Bexley are being invited to a seminar to hear how they can cash in on contracts for the development of the Thames Gateway.

The event, being held at the Thames Innovation Centre in Veridion Way off Yarnton Way Thamesmead, tomorrow.

Organised by Bexley Council and the East London Business Place (ELBP), the event is aimed at small and medium sized businesses.

Thames Gateway is Europe’s largest regeneration project and there are lots of developments which will be happening in and around Bexley.

ELBP, a publicly funded service, will help companies become ready to tender for projects and contracts, through practical support and advice, as well as giving them access to contract opportunities.

Director Gay Harrington explained: “At this event, businesses will have the opportunity to hear how they can access free face-to-face support.

“It is through this support, businesses can gain access to more contract opportunities and be in a more competitive position.”

The event takes place from 4pm to 7pm on June 11.
