A CHOIR is putting on a concert to raise money to get a minibus for a group of air cadets.
On June 13 The Beckenham Ladies Choir will be performing a range of songs from Bach to the Beatles at Penge Congregational Church in the High Street.
All cash raised will go towards the £10,000 needed to purchase a bus for the 1903 Air Cadet squadron in Penge.
One of the organisers, Jacki Davies, is a member of the choir and her 14-year-old son William is a cadet.
She said: “At the moment it depends on parents being able to ferry the cadets around.
“They deserve a minibus.”
The singing ladies will also be making home-made biscuits which will be available during the interval. Around 20 cadets will be there to serve refreshments.
Tickets for adults cost £6, while children go free. They can be bought on the door or for more information call 020 7244 5087.
