A 20-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court this morning (June 4) charged with murdering a teenager at a block of flats in Deptford.
Adam Pervaiz was found in a communal stairwell in Shearwater Court, Abinger Grove, at around noon on May 7.
The 18-year-old had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held at Greenwich mortuary gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the leg.
Ahmed Mire, of Thurban Road, Catford, was charged with Adam’s murder yesterday and is due before Greenwich magistrates today.
A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man who were arrested in connection with the investigation were released without charge.
Another 20-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the investigation has been bailed to return to a south London police station later this month pending further enquiries.
