A PARISH church has put out an SOS after the banner advertising its spring fair was stolen.

The resusable laminated banner was specially made and donated to All Saints Church in Rectory Lane, Foots Cray, and has been hanging on the front of its church hall, the William Smith Memorial Hall, a little further down the lane.

But with just one day to go before the fair tomorrow (May 9) thieves stole the banner overnight.

It is about 10ft long and 2ft wide, white and reads: "All Saints spring fair this Saturday" in multi-coloured lettering.

A church spokeswoman said: "If someone would return it, all will be forgiven.

"It is of no use to anyone else."

Anyone who has the banner or knows where it is, can return it to the church during the Sunday service at 9.30am or call the church office on 020 8300 4343.
