Thamesmead’s leading community development agency and registered charity Trust Thamesmead is celebrating national Local and Community History Month throughout May by holding free film nights in each of its halls.

Each of the evenings will feature visual displays including Trust Thamesmead’s two major capital projects Sporting Club Thamesmead and the Youth Leisure Zone, as well as T’riffic Thamesmead which started off as a school project but which the Trust is opening to the wider community; there is a section on the website to accompany this which features secret maps of Thamesmead, photographs and more.

The evenings are called film nights because there will also be showings of DVDs old and new of Thamesmead followed by a discussion of the area.
