FIRE crews are still at a garden centre in Sidcup, two days after a blaze tore through a warehouse on the site.
They expect to be damping down at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, Maidstone Road, until around 4pm today (April 28).
Firefighters were first called to the business at around 2.20pm on Sunday afternoon as the main warehouse and an adjacent one burned.
A plume of black smoke from the fire could be seen for miles around and a 300m cordon was set up because of gas canisters on the site.
They managed to bring the blaze under control four and a half hours after they were first called.
It is not yet known what caused the fire but a police spokesman said the London Fire Brigade says it started accidentally and it is not being treated as a crime.
The garden centre is open for business.
