A BUDDING Beckenham DJ has moved one step closer to performing his rap in front of royalty.

DJ Talent, aka Anthony Ghosh, appeared on TV talent contest Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night (April 25) and proved such a hit, music guru Simon Cowell sent him through to the next round.

The cheeky 30-year-old also plucked up the courage to ask TV beauty Kelly Brook out on a date - offering her a chicken salad for her troubles.

Mr Ghosh said: “I certainly won’t be able to go out in Beckenham on a Saturday night anymore.

“I will be recognised and there will be some jealous people out there. There might be some crazy stalkers following me.

“But I have wanted this for a long time and would love to get a number one hit.

“It is a huge opportunity.”

DJ Talent, of The Avenue, Beckenham, wowed judges Simon Cowell, Kelly Brook, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan with his catchy Britain’s Got Talent rap.

In front of millions of TV viewers and a packed studio audience, Amanda Holden even suggested the dance track “could be in the charts”.

Royal Variety Performance

The show whittles down hundreds of hopefuls to just one act which will then perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and pick up a cheque for £100,000.

Mr Ghosh, who showed off his 28 gold teeth during his 58-second performance, added: “I hope I get to sing in front of the Queen.

“It was pretty nerve-wracking but I just wanted to get out there and smash it.

“I asked Kelly Brook out for a chicken salad and Simon Cowell said she would definitely be able to go.

“It has been 10 years of trying and now I have the chance of getting my music out there."

The part-time engineer added: “I can’t keep up with everything that is going on but as long as I am polite and kind I think I should do fine.”
