Swine flu. We’re all going to die.........again.
We now have yet another ridiculous panic, initiated by the irresponsible national media, to add to all of the other great delusions of our times that were going to result in the end of the world – the Millenium Bug, Killer Salmonela-infected Eggs, Listeria, Mad Cow Disease, Belgian Dioxins, E Coli, Bird Flu, Global Cooling (circa 1970s), Global warming (circa 2000’s) etc, etc.
Who will be the first politician to embarrass themselves by proclaiming that this is the greatest threat to the country’s well-being since the last such scare? (for info, the greatest threat to the country’s well being is actually last week’s budget!).
