A 33-year-old man appears in Waltham Forest Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of Adeel Akabar.
Attique Sami, of Kirby Close, Hainault is suspected of killing the 24-year-old at an address in Essex Road on Tuesday.
Mr Akabar was fatally injured after a group of about 15 men, armed with guns and baseball bats, stormed the east London house, police say.
Officers were called to the house in Essex Road, Leyton, about 10.30pm following reports of gunshots.
They found Adeel Akabar, of Watson Avenue, East Ham, in the house.
He was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, and pronounced dead at 5am yesterday.
Mr Akabar, a security guard, was married without children.
Several other people in the house at the time were attacked with baseball bats and have been treated for their injuries, police said.
