YOUNGSTERS from four schools in Bromley borough got the chance to learn more about other countries on Wednesday (March 11).
The second Chislehurst Rotary in Schools Project day was organised by Chislehurst Rotary Club and saw pupils from Red Hill Primary, Marjorie McClure School and St Nicholas Primary, all in Chislehurst, teamed up with pupils at Mottingham Primary School.
Children learnt more about the cultures and traditions in foreign countries including Ghana, Canada, Spain and Trinidad and Tobago.
Headteacher at Red Hill Primary Margaret Warner said: “We are very pleased to host the Chislehurst Rotary in Schools Project day.
“The children from each school had been preparing their special items to share and there was a real sense of excitement building towards the day itself.”
Rotarian and governor of Red Hill School John Thorogood added: “One of the best things about the day is the opportunity it gives to the children to mix with those from other schools and work alongside them. "That in itself is a valuable thing for the youngsters.”
