A BROMLEY man has been arrested for allegedly trying to shoot a Spanish police officer, according to national media reports.
The man, one of two Britons thought to be arrested on Monday night (March 12), is believed to have tried to shoot police after they stopped him urinating in the street in Alhaurin el Grande, near Marbella.
Reports suggest his semi-automatic pistol jammed as he took aim at a officer and pulled the trigger. He may now face charges of attempted murder.
It is thought he had been drinking all day after learning of the death of his six-year-old daughter.
Last night the pair were also facing the charge of illegal possession of weapons.
The second man from Newcastle is said to have dropped a six-inch knife as he attempted to flee the scene.
An Irishman who was with the men, both thought to live locally, has been questioned but released without charge.
