YOUNGSTERS at a school are overjoyed with their new £35k playground.
Pupils at Green Street Green Primary School had waited almost a fortnight for the new play area to be built, which was largely paid for with money raised by the school’s parents’ assocation.
The playground at the Vine Road school in Green Street Green contains ladders, suspended logs, a castle, a climbing frame and a 30m trail which can be walked along without touching the ground.
Deputy headteacher Phil Mercer said: “The children have been peering over the fence watching the building work in progress and now they can reap the benefits.
“The new playground offers them fun and physical activity.”
