SCHOOLGIRLS have organised a stand-up comedy event to raise money for charity.
Six pupils, aged 16, of Dartford Grammar School For Girls, Shepherds Lane have arranged a line-up of professional funnymen for a performance nextdoor at the Mick Jagger Centre at 7pm on April 6.
All proceeds will go to Wings of Hope, a charity providing education for children in developing countries, such as India and Malawi.
Tina Seabrooke, who helped organised the event, said: “It has taken a lot of work, but now the tickets are selling its really starting to pay off, and we know all the money we raise will be going to a worthwhile cause.
Comedians Mitch Benn, Alfie Brown, Joe Rowntree and Dave Thompson will perform live, and tickets are available through smiles4smiles.webs.com
