WEARING just a g-string with his body coated in blue paint, a mime artist braved the cold to play a character from cult film Watchmen.
Jason Maverick, aged 45, of Thicket Road, Anerley, spent three hours in make-up and walked down a street dressed as the character Dr Manhattan for the launch of the film.
Seven hundred invited guests attended the launch in central London, which featured 75 extras as well as the main characters from the film.
Mr Maverick, who has performed at private parties for the Queen, Madonna and Sting, said: “It was absolutely fantastic, to walk down a crowded street wearing a g-string was a huge buzz.
“As it happens I look very similar to Dr Manhattan.
“I was kind of made for the role.”
