A TEENAGER is still critically ill, three days after a crash in St Paul’s Cray which killed two of his friends and seriously injured a 61-year-old man.

Grant Holland, 17, was pulled out from a Honda Civic at around 12.15am on Sunday (January 25) after it collided with a Ford Mondeo, travelling in the opposite direction.

Police say the teenager is in a critical but stable condition in Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup.

It is not known whether he is still on a life support machine.

The driver and back-seat passenger of the stolen Civic, 18-year-old Jay Sonny-Barry and Larry Hall, 17, both from St Paul's Cray, died after the accident in St Paul’s Cray Road.

Police say the car was stolen from nearby Leesons Way at around 11pm on Saturday evening.

The 61-year-old driver of the Mondeo, who has been named locally as minicab driver Terry Dukes, was also taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.

He was suffering from a broken hip and elbow and cuts.

Police are now awaiting post-mortem examination results into the deaths of Jay and Larry.

Investigating officer Sergeant Jon Webb said: “This is a tragic incident that has dramatically affected four families and it is of vital importance for them that anyone with information contacts us immediately.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the green Y-registration Honda being driven in the St Paul’s Cray area in the lead up to the collision, or who was in the Leesons Way area at around 11pm on Saturday night.”
