TWO UFOs have been spotted in the sky over Mottingham this week.

Jack Regan was returning home to Court Farm Road on Monday at about 6pm when he saw a pair of strange orange lights up above.

The 22-year-old used his mobile to capture the lights on video.

He said: “I saw them come up opposite me and then move over the house.

“I filmed them for a minute and they covered quite a distance. They were moving fast.

“If they were lights on a plane they would have stayed the same distance apart but they were moving apart and then close together.

“Finally, they got lost in the clouds, never to be seen again.”

Perhaps as it was Chinese new year it was a wish lantern. These are also released by people who are mourning the loss of a loved one.

I was also wondering if they were Chinese lanterns - they seem increasingly popular. Very pretty.

Jack Regan? I hope George Carter was there to back him up.

Sounds like he had a good session on the whisky.

ufo's lol, next it will be sightings of nessie in the thames yetis in high elms woods and leprecorns in the glades. They were Chinese lanterns. The movement was due to wind currents moving them about.

you can eat those chinese lanterns. I saw that OBJECTS in Morden at the same time. If chinese lanterns can move 17 KM with aprox 60-70 km/h you are right. I saw not two lights, I saw 20 and I saw the body of the object. And the body flew after the lights were off. And flew until disappeared in Weybridge direction.
