A FESTIVE attraction has been transformed into a “tree of thought”.
People visiting the Erith Riverside Shopping Centre could write messages for loved ones who had died. Tags were available from children’s charity Barnardo’s.
They were put on the tree while children from St Augustine’s Primary School, St Augustine’s Road, Belvedere, sang carols.
Centre manager Barry Owen said: “Losing someone close to you is devastating but from the volume of tags we received we know our tree of thought offered some comfort this Christmas.”
The first 60 tags put on the tree raised around £100 for Barnardo’s.
