A TRADITIONAL Russian folk tale was the choice of youngsters at a Welling primary school for their Christmas production.
Children aged between six and eight at Bishop Ridley Primary School in Northumberland Avenue performed Babushka for the rest of the school and family and friends.
Parents provided all the costumes for the production, while 10 and 11-year-old youngsters painted the backdrops.
The performances tell the tale of how a house-proud Russian woman was too busy cleaning to follow the three wise men to find baby Jesus.
It also includes the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, performed by the production’s ice fairies.
