A 32-YEAR-OLD Rastafarian man was stabbed and killed in a domestic argument at a house in Lewisham yesterday.
Daniel Myrie died in hospital after he was stabbed at his family home in Canada Gardens yesterday (December 3).
Police have arrested two men in connection with their inquiry.
Neighbours have been paying tribute to the father-of-three, describing him as a “good boy who wouldn't hurt a fly" and someone who "would do anything to help anyone.”
Joanne Brown, who knew Daniel for more than 15 years, said: “He was the nicest person and wouldn’t hurt a fly.
“He would give you his last pound.
“And he would run to the shops for the older people. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for you.
She added: “He didn’t deserve this.”
Daniel, who worked as a carer with children and elderly people, had two sons aged four and five and a daughter aged two with partner Marisha Crooks, 28, also of Canada Gardens.
Ms Crooke’s aunt Paulette Hudson said: “Daniel loved his kids. I don’t know how they are going to manage without him.”
Friends paid tribute to Daniel close to the house where he lived with his mother Pauline Williams, younger brother Aaron Myrie and his mother’s boyfriend.
Neighbour June McCalla said: “He was nice, loving, friendly and helpful.
“Daniel was everything that is good.
“Anyone who wanted help, he would help them.”
Café owner Ali Kiranel said: “He was one of the nice guys around here.
“He would always put his head in to say hello when he was passing.
“It is really a shock because he was in here yesterday.
“He came in for a cheeseburger just before it happened.”
The London Ambulance Service was called to the house at 12.16pm.
Daniel, who is believed to have been stabbed repeatedly, was taken to Lewisham Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2.15pm.
A post-mortem examination will be held today.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to Kings College Hospital where he was treated for a head injury and later discharged into police custody.
A 31-year-old man was also arrested at the property on suspicion of assaulting the 36-year-old man.
