Pedestrian dies after collision with HGV in Plumstead
A PEDESTRIAN from Catford died following a collision with an HGV in Plumstead.
The incident happened near the traffic light junction of Plumstead High Street, White Hart Road and Lakedale Road, at about 12.30pm on Friday (November 21).
Murugesa Balasingam, of Bradgate Road, Catford died at the scene.
A post mortem examination held at Greenwich mortuary on Monday (November 24), said the 61-year-old Sri Lankan born man died from multiple injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Simon Seeley, leading the investigation, said: "In particular, there were other people on around the pedestrian crossing at that junction at the time. I “I would urge them to get in touch as they may have valuable information."
