YOUR charity or organisation could raise plenty of cash using thousands of mega-sized Snickers bars left over from an exhibition.
Icon Display, in Maidstone Road, Sidcup, designs and builds exhibition stands for top companies.
Manager Alan Pride recently manned a stand for Masterfoods, which makes snacks such as Mars bars and Snickers.
Of the 20,000 Snickers he ordered, 5,500 are left over, with nowhere to go but the dustbin.
Alan said: “We are left with all these mega-sized Snickers and nothing to do with them. Masterfoods does not want them back because it will cost more for them, so we are looking for a local person or charity who could use them to help fundraise.” If you have a great way of using the bars to make cash for charity, contact News Shopper on 01689 885724, before July 9.
