A WOMAN pleaded guilty to benefit fraud at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court after helping her father to complete claim forms which failed to say she was in paid employment.
Kerryanne Rose, aged 22, of Cardinal Court, Swanley, admitted she allowed her father to produce housing and council tax benefit forms which she knew were false.
As a result, housing benefit amounting to £2,386.23 and council tax benefit of £190.66 was incorrectly paid on the claim.
Chairman of the bench Peter Mellor said the case was very serious but gave her an 18-month conditional discharge because of her previous good record and the fact she is a single parent.
She was ordered to pay the council £100 costs.
