A MAN who threatened a shop assistant with a hypodermic syringe was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Nicholas Wood, aged 28, of York Road, Dartford, brandished the syringe after demanding a packet of cigarettes at Threshers off-licence on Beckenham Lane, Shortlands, Bromley. He left taking £30 from the till.
Wood was caught when an officer recognised him from CCTV footage.
He was sentenced in Croydon Crown Court on May 19 after denying robbery on September 15 last year.
