BEER drinkers in the south east are paying the highest prices for a pint in the country.
A survey by the Campaign for Real Ale reveals the average price of a pint of lager in the area is 17p more than in the cheapest area, the north west.
The most expensive pint in the south east costs £2.35, with the top London price at £2.34.
The nationwide average for a pint is £2.17.
