THE first of a series of drug support evenings aimed at parents has been held in Gravesend.
The meeting, which took place at Sprints, in Cygnet Leisure Centre, provided parents with the opportunity to raise concerns and learn more about drugs, as well as learning how to recognise the danger signs.
The evenings aim to support, advise and educate parents on the truth about drug abuse in young people — experts are also available for confidential chats.
PC Sally Green, of the north Kent police crime reduction team, said: “These evenings allow parents to speak to experts and be guided on the best way to deal with a situation.” The next session will be held in September.
