BOWLERS have had a boost to their green thanks to a £2,000 grant.
Swanley Bowls Club, at The Olympic in Beechenlea Lane, has a new bowling green surround, which will stop the bowls getting damaged and make it easier to see them.
Members helped prepare the surround walls so the Swanley Town Council grant could be used in time for the new season.
Bowls club vice president Ken Hardy said: “Club members are very pleased.” Council grants committee chairman Councillor John Underwood said: “The council is delighted to support the club.”
