A FEISTY pensioner escaped unhurt after fighting off three burglars with a telephone.
The 86-year-old woman returned to her house on High Street, Gravesend, at 6.40pm, to find two men and a woman going through her possessions.
She confronted them and struck one of the head but despite her efforts to stop them, the three thieves, all white and in their 20s, escaped with her cash and pension book.
Police are connecting the burglary with another at 9pm that day, in MacKenzie Way. The trio again targeted an 86-year-old woman, tricking her into believing they were care workers, before stealing her wallet and cash.
