SIX men have been charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A drug after detectives intercepted a “large scale” operation.

Officers found 9,000 Ecstasy tablets, 4kg of cannabis and £10,000 cash in two cars parked side-by-side in Mottingham. Four of the men were arrested at the scene.

The other two were picked up when police searched their homes. A further 9,000 white tablets were found, half of which are believed to be Ecstasy, and half of which are amphetamines.

Mark Dale, aged 25, of Shortlands Road, Bromley, Brian Nuttman, aged 23, of Winchcomb Gardens, Eltham, Sonny Smith, aged 23, of Tiverton Drive, New Eltham and Danny Sheehy, aged 21, of Brownspring Drive, New Eltham, will face charges of conspiracy to supply Ecstasy.

Two others, 28-year-old Ian Higginson and Tuncer Bayrak, aged 33, both from Crawley, in West Sussex, have also been charged with the same offence and all are expected to appear at Croydon Crown Court.
