A GANG of youths who made a sordid home video of a teenage girl as they put her through a 90-minute sex ordeal are facing jail.

Ewart Hodge, aged 21, of Spartar Street, Greenwich, Daniel Gordon, aged 21, of Tanner’s Hill, Deptford, and Lawrence Charles, aged 18, of Lethbridge Estate, Greenwich, used a camcorder to film themselves sexually assaulting the schoolgirl, a jury at the Old Bailey heard on June 17.

The 15-year-old girl, branded “easy and available” after the video was distributed around a south London housing estate, then suffered “systematic and serial abuse” by Adam Parker, aged 22, of Windmill Close, Lewisham, Gerald Rodney, aged 23, of Lethbridge Close, Lewisham, and two 17-year-olds.

The gang, who initially denied a range of charges including rape and other sexual assaults over the course of nearly a year, each pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual intercourse and were cleared of the other charges on the judge’s direction.

Hodge, who is already serving eight years for raping a pastor’s daughter, also admitted indecently assaulting the girl.

The pleas, accepted by the prosecution, mean the girl will be spared the humiliation of being cross-examined by seven barristers.

Hodge first had unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl in October 2001, taking her virginity when she was just 14.

On February 10, 2002, he took the girl to a flat in New Cross where she was introduced to Charles and Gordon. There were at least five others there as well. There were also video cameras.

Prosecuting, Ann Cotcher had told the jury: “The video branded the girl as easy and available and as someone who would do anything to please.” Parker, Rodney and the two 17-year-olds then had unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl over the following seven months.

Hodge, Gordon, Charles, Parker and Rodney were remanded in custody while the younger defendants were released on conditional bail. They will all be sentenced on July 16.
