ISTEAD RISE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE The speaker at the June meeting was Mrs Tallboys who retraced her steps through picturesque slides taken on a three-week visit to South Africa.
During her journey from Johannesburg to Cape Town she passed through Kru-ger national Park’s dramatic scenery and the beautiful coastline.
Mrs Tallboys is a keen botanist and revelled in the unique flowers to be found in South Africa as well as the stunning wildlife such as impala, elephants, giraffes and the wondrous sight of a herd of buffalo arriving at a huge watering place.
