A DOG died after fire broke out in the kitchen of a house in Gravesend.
Three fire engines from Gravesend and Dartford arrived at the blaze at the house in Trafalgar Road, at 8.22pm on Sunday (OCTOBER 12).
The kitchen was on fire and smoke had filled the rest of the house, and it took around two hours to put out the flames.
One person lives in the house but they were not at home at the time. However, their dog was inside and was killed in the fire.
Lawrence Pater, who is a watch manager at Thames-side fire station in Coldharbour Road, Gravesend, said: “The fire destroyed the kitchen, and the smoke and heat severely damaged the rest of the house, making it not habitable at the moment."
He says he believes the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
