Barn blaze tackled after hay catches fire
10:45am Sunday 12th October 2008
A BARN fire was tackled by firefighters in north Kent today.
The fire service was called to Nurstead Church Lane in Meopham just after midnight.
Two hundred tons of baled hay was inside the barn.
One fire appliance remians at the scene now the blaze is under control.
White Post Lane in Meopham was closed both ways for much of the day due to the fire, affecting traffic between Meopham station and Sole Street.
