FERRARI drivers and classic car owners gave people their dream ride in West Wickam today (October 11).

Millions of pounds worth of car was on show at the event at Wickham Court School in Layhams Road.

And for a donation of £20 petrolheads could take a spin in the ride of their dreams.

The event was organised by Emma and Rob Beiderman in support of the We Can Beat Wilms foundation and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Mr and Mrs Beiderman of Lakes Road, Keston, set up the foundation in memory of their daughter Molly, who died of Wilms’ tumour aged five on December 30 2006.

Wilms’ tumour affects young children and is caused by an out of control multiplication of kidney cells, often while the child is still in the womb.

Between 60 and 70 children are diagnosed with Wilms’ tumour in the UK each year.

After their daughters death, Mr and Mrs Beiderman set up the foundation to raise funds to aid research into the disease and to keep Molly’s memory alive.

The Dream Rides event was made possible by the the Ferrari and sports car owners who provided their cars voluntarily to raise money for the foundation.
