Ideas are being sought for the regeneration of Hounslow town centre.

Thousands of postcards are being distributed in a drive to get residents’ views.

They are also available in libraries, leisure centres and public halls, and people can also leave feedback at hounslow.gov.uk/regeneration The council’s consultants are also currently running workshops where residents, businesses and community groups can have their say on what they want the town centre to be.

Councillor Peter Thompson said: “Everyone has their own idea about what the town centre should be like.

“But it’s no use keeping it to yourself – tell us what you want.

“We’ve constantly said that this is about more than just the High Street and the site next to the Blenheim Centre, it’s about the town centre as a whole.

“It is not just about asking if we want more and better shops, it’s about stepping back and asking big questions about what kind of a town centre Hounslow needs to be a success in the future.

“It’s a big issue, so we need some big ideas, and I’m convinced that no one will be able to answer them better than the people who use the town centre.”
