AN ELDERLY woman had to be rescued after her leg got trapped under a lorry.
Firefighters used airbags to lift up the vehicle so medics could treat the pedestrian, who is in her 70s, at around noon on Saturday (October 4).
It is believed the woman was crossing Catford Road, Catford, when the incident happened but it is not yet known how her leg became trapped.
She was taken to Kings College Hospital with serious leg injuries.
