RESIDENTS can delve into the history of their town centre with a new booklet outlining three heritage trails.
The town trails booklet, produced by Dartford Council, outlines three walks around Dartford, providing pictures and tales of the town's history.
Residents can find out more about Dartford's links with Henry VIII, the spot that was allegedly the home of Wat Tyler, the leader of the Peasants Revolt in 1381, and information on many of the town's oldest buildings.
Councillor Patsy Thurlow, portfolio holder for heritage, said: "Dartford has a rich, varied heritage and the town trails booklet is a great way of delving into Dartford's past and locating the hidden gems that lie in our town."
The town trails booklet costs £2.00 and is available from Dartford Civic Centre cash office, Dartford Borough Museum, Dartford Library and The Orchard Theatre.
