GOLFERS have taken part in a tournament to raise cash for a charity.
The event took place at Lullingstone Golf Course in Chelsfield, Orpington on September 5.
It raised over £5,000 for The Parents Consortium, a registered charity based in Hextable.
The charity organises recreational activities and holidays for disabled children and their families within the Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley areas.
Lee Manning who is the charities service co-ordinator helped to organised the event.
He said: "This is the ninth year that we have organised a charity golf day.
"We charged people a fee to take part and the money that we raised will go towards organising a holiday to The Calvert Trust centre in Exmoor, which provides outdoor activities for disabled children."
He says that on the day golfers of all abilities took part, and even though it rained all day it didn't put a damper on things.
