BUDDING bus designers are running out of time to enter a Transport for London (TfL) competition.

Entrants have until September 19 to send in designs for a new London bus which is modern, accessible and environmentally friendly.

The competition winner will not only see their design driving along the capital's streets but will pocket a cash prize of £25, 000.

Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: "There has been a lot of interest in the competition but I am sure there are still many people out there with cracking ideas for our new bus.

"There are just three weeks to go and I hope even more people - be they professional designers, bus passengers, drivers or even kids on their holidays - take the time to submit their ideas."

Winners will be announced at the end of October.

I have submitted a design, that would be compatable with the desired objective.
Two horses, that would transport people, via an open topped cart.

I think with a change of engine most of the Dennis, Scannia & Volvo fleet fit the above requirements. (If only they could turn the heaters off in the summer, for environmental reasons.)
