THE man charged with murdering teenage actor Robert Knox has appeared at the Old Bailey.
Jobless Karl Bishop, aged 21, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, Sidcup, pleaded not guilty today to stabbing Mr Knox, aged 18, from Maidstone Road, Sidcup, outside the Metro Bar in Station Road, Sidcup, on May 24.
Mr Knox was knifed five times and died at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, from internal bleeding.
Bishop is also charged with wounding five other people: Dean Saunders, Andrew Dormer, Nicky Lee Jones, Charlie Grimley and Tom Hopkins, with intent to cause GBH.
He also pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Bishop, who appeared via a video link, was remanded in custody and will appear for trial on February 9 next year.
Mr Knox, who was on a night out with his younger brother Jamie, 16, and a group of friends, had recently finished filming a role in the latest Harry Potter film.
Actor Rupert Grint, who stars as Ron Weasley in the films, was among those who attended Mr Knox's funeral.
