A large police cordon has been set up in front of three shops in South Norwood.
Pictures obtained by the News Shopper show two forensic vans and a police car in Portland Road.
The police car can be seen parked on the pavement in front of the shops with a red cordon surrounding it.
The nature of the incident is unknown.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for further information.
