STUCK for something to do this bank holiday weekend? Let News Shopper help you with a selection of events from our What's On guide.

Saturday (August 23)

• Create your own pirate hat and flag to decorate the ship at the Old Royal Navy College visitor centre in King William Walk, Greenwich. The event runs from noon to 3pm and is suitable for children aged between three and 11. It costs 1 per child.

• Watch the English Youth Ballet perform Coppelia at The Churchill theatre in High Street, Bromley, at 7.30pm. Adult tickets cost £18.50 and children £16.

Sunday (August 24)

• Experience the music of India at the Utsavam exhibition at the Horniman Museum. It is open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm until November 2 at the museum in London Road, Forest Hill.

• Walk your way to fitness at Bluewater shopping centre by joining the MBT Walking Club at the mall. Weather permitting the walk covers a trail just outside the mall starting off with a warm up, then brisk walking, power walking and a cool down. It will be led by a qualified personal trainer. Anyone interested should meet outside Sweaty Betty in the centre near Greenhithe at 10am.

Bank Holiday Monday (August 25)

• Enjoy live music, a fun fair, displays, a mini train and other attractions at the Bromley Carnival. The event runs from 10am to 5pm in Norman Park, Bromley Common, Bromley.

• Get some peace and quiet at Charlton House's new garden. The Peace Garden - formerly known as the rose garden - is planted with a variety of trees and plants. It follows on from Amnesty International's recent Stop Domestic Violence Against Women campaign. The house is in Charlton Road, Charlton.
