TRAIN services in the News Shopper area are disrupted this Bank Holiday weekend because of engineering works.
Saturday (August 23)
Southeastern trains which usually go to and from London Blackfriars will be running from Victoria.
Passengers travelling between London Blackfriars and Bat & Ball, Beckenham Hill, Bellingham, Bickley, Bromley South, Catford, Crofton Park, Denmark Hill, Eynsford, Nunhead, Orpington, Otford, Peckham Rye, Petts Wood, Ravensbourne, Sevenoaks, Shoreham, Shortlands, St Mary Cray or Swanley can travel to Blackfriars on the Tube from Victoria.
Valid rail tickets will be accepted on Circle and District Lines between the two stations.
A late night bus service will depart from London Blackfriars at 11.43pm to Denmark Hill to connect with the last train service to Orpington from London Victoria.
This late train service leaves Denmark Hill at 12.09am and calls at Peckham Rye at 12.11am.
It arrives at Nunhead at 12.14am before getting to Crofton Park at 12.16am, Catford at 12:18am, Bellingham at 12.21am, Beckenham Hill 12.23am, Ravensbourne 12.25am, Shortlands 12.27am, Bromley South 12.30am, Bickley 12.32am, Petts Wood 12.37am and arriving at Orpington at 12.40am.
Sunday (August 24)
Engineering work will be taking place between Brixton and Shortlands.
There will be no train services from Beckenham Junction, Kent House, Herne Hill, Penge East, Sydenham Hill or West Dulwich.
But a replacement bus service will be running between Denmark Hill and Bromley South and calling at the above stations.
There are also no train services calling at Brixton.
Valid train tickets will be accepted from passengers travelling to and from the station on the Victoria line.
The 42 minutes past the hour train service to Canterbury West, calling at Bromley South, will leave four minutes earlier than scheduled at 38 minutes past the hour.
Bank Holiday Monday (August 25)
A normal Sunday service will operate.
